Source text - English On 17 April 1972, less than a month after The Godfather premiere, Gallo was assassinated while celebrating his forty-third birthday in a restaurant on Mulberry Street in Little Italy. That this mafia revenge killing was set in a restaurant and that its execution roughly matched the scene in the movie in which Michael assassinates McCluskey and Sollozzo seemed only to assure viewers that Coppola and Puzo had the inside scoop so much so that real mobsters had turned to the film for their own set pieces.
Exactly how well Puzo knew the gangsters he wrote about is subject to debate. We have on the one hand Evans’s story that Puzo used the option money from Paramount to pay off his mobster bookies. But Puzo always insisted that he had never met a real gangster before writing The Godfather. The book was his agent’s idea. Well after The Godfather had made him a millionaire, Puzo dismissed the sprawling and sensational novel as nothing more than a calculated attempt to write a bestseller… a calculation that succeeded Of course.
Translation - Persian (Farsi) در 7 آوریل سال 1972، کمتر از یک ماه پس از اکران افتتاحیه‌ي پدرخوانده، گالو در حالی که در آستانه‌ي جشن چهل و سومین تولد خود بود در رستورانی در خیابان مولبری در منطقه‌ی «ایتالیای کوچک» نیویورک ترور شد. اینکه این انتقام مافیایی در یک رستوران رخ داده بود و نحوه‌ي انجام آن نیز شباهت بسیاری به صحنه‌ی ترور مک‌کلاسکی و سولاتزو در فیلم داشت کافی بود تا تماشاگران مطمئن شوند کوپولا و پوزو چنان درک عمیقی از اتفاقات درون مافیا داشتند که حالا گانگسترهای واقعی برای رتق و فتق امورشان از فیلم پدرخوانده الگو می‌گرفتند.
اینکه پوزو تا چه میزان گانگسترهایی را که در موردشان نوشته بود می‌شناخت محل مناقشه است. از یک طرف داستان ایوانز را داریم که می‌گوید پوزو مبلغ دریافتی خود از پارامونت را به عنوان بازپرداخت بدهی به دلالان مافیایی داده است، اما از سوی دیگر پوزو همیشه اصرار داشته که پیش از نوشتن پدرخوانده حتی با یک گانگستر واقعی هم دیدار نداشته و کتاب، حاصل ایده‌ی مدیر برنامه‌هایش بوده است. مدت‌ها پس از اینکه پدرخوانده او را به یک میلیونر تبدیل کرد، پوزو اعلام کرد این رمان مبسوط و مهیج چیزی بیشتر از تلاشی حساب شده برای نوشتن رمانی پرفروش نبوده است... تلاشی که البته موفق هم شد.

Source text - English The eleventh thesis on Feuerbach, then, is not just some sort of philistine appeal to turn from abstract speculation to the 'real world', though there was a streak of this brisk anti- intellectualism in the early Marx. Such an appeal forgets that without abstract concepts there would be no real world for us in the first place. The irony of Marx's gesture is that he makes this demand as a philosopher, not just as a political activist. He can thus be said to join a distinguished lineage of 'anti-philosophers', one which includes Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, Heidegger, Adorno, Benjamin, Wittgenstein, and in our own time such thinkers as Jacques Derrida and Richard Rorty, for whom there is something fundamentally awry with the whole philosophical enterprise of their time.
For these men, philosophy itself, not just this or that topic within it, has become a deeply problematic pursuit. They therefore want either to transcend the whole project for reasons which remain philosophically interesting, or to find some way of recasting it in a new key entirely, an aim which for many of these thinkers means forging a new style of theoretical writing. Most of them are out to deflate the metaphysical pretentions of philosophy, outflanking them with something apparently more fundamental: being, power, difference, practical forms of life, or in Marx's case 'historical conditions'. An anti-philosopher of this kind differs from a mere opponent of philosophy in much the same way that an 'anti-novel' like Ulysses differs from a non-novel like the telephone directory.
Translation - Persian (Farsi) بنابراین، مدعای یازدهم درباره‌ی فوئرباخ تنها درخواستی نابخردانه برای کنار گذاشتن تامل انتزاعی و روی‌آوردن به «دنیای واقعی» نیست، گرچه این خردورزی‌‌ستیزیِ تند را می‌توان در مارکس جوان دید. این‌گونه درخواست در وهله‌ی اول این مسئله را نادیده می‌گیرد که بدون مفاهیم انتزاعی دنیای واقعی نیز برای ما وجود نخواهد داشت. تناقض اشارت مارکس این است که او این درخواست را در مقام یک فیلسوف مطرح می‌کند و نه‌تنها در مقام یک مبارز سیاسی. از این‌رو می‌توان گفت که مارکس در تبار برجسته‌ی فیلسوف‌‌ستیزانی همچون کر‌‌کگور، نیچه، هایدگر، آدورنو، بنیامین، ویتگنشتاین و نیز متفکران معاصر همچون ژاک دریدا و ریچارد رورتی می‌گنجد، افرادی که در کلِ مسائل فلسفی زمان‌شان چیزی اساساً مشکل‌دار می‌دیدند.
برای این مردان خودِ فلسفه، نه فقط این یا آن موضوع در فلسفه، تبدیل به فعالیتی عمیقاً مسئله‌دار شده بود. از این‌رو می‌خواستند یا کل این پروژه را، بنا به دلایلی که از منظر فلسفی هنوز جالب بودند، کنار بگذارند، یا راهی برای ریختن آن در قالبی تماماً جدید بیابند، هدفی که برای بسیاری از این متفکران به معنای خلق سبک جدیدی از نگارش نظری بود. تلاش اکثر آنها تنزل‌دادن ادعاهای مابعدالطبیعی فلسفه بود و با چیزی ظاهراً بنیادی‌تر به آنها حمله می‌کردند: موجودیت، قدرت، تمایز، اَشکال عملی حیات، یا در مورد مارکس «شرایط تاریخی». این دسته از فیلسوف‌‌ستیزان با مخالفان صرف فلسفه تفاوت دارند، همان‌طور که «ضدِ رمان»ی مانند اولیس از غیرِ رمانی مانند دفترچه تلفن متمایز است.
