I am a Hungarian woman who worked in Poland, learnt the language and now lives in Budapest, Hungary, in the middle of the local Polish minority.
I'm working as a freelancer Polish-Hungarian translator since 2011. My main reference: I work for a Polish publisher O-Press (Kielce), translating story-books, paint-books, and all kind of books for children.
I have attended the following trainings and courses:
05-06.2016: Miracles of Human Language: An Introduction to Linguistics by Universiteit Leiden & Meertens instituut (KNAW) on Coursera. Certificate earned on June 19, 2016
26.02.2016: Translating for the EU Industry: Working with Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) webinar on proz.com
01-05.04.2013: Living Languages through Europe, EU Grundtvig workshop, Mardin, Turkey
My husband works in the translation industry as localization engineer and project manager for more then 10 years. He helps me with technical and management issues - which means I could offer not just simple translation services, but full DTP, terminology management, translation of complicated pages like PDF, Adobe InDesign, complete websites, etc.
I've been using SDL Studio for years, which could guarantee higher quality of business translations as simple paper-based "solutions".
