⚔️ GAME LOCALIZATION IS MY BATTLEFIELD ⚔️

I have been treading the path of a professional translator since 2014 when I started out as a fiction translator. I translated 3 thrillers from the Swedish language, which I studied at uni, into Czech, my mother tongue.

📚 However, soon I realized that thrillers aren't really my cup of tea, but I greatly enjoyed the linguistic work. That is why I decided to try the waters of commercial translation. Sure, it may not carry the same allure as the thrilling world of fiction, but the years I spent working as a proofreader in a translation agency boosted my XP through the roof! I tried my hand at working with CAT tools and on texts ranging from technical to medical, marketing to gaming. 

🐲 And then it clicked. It all suddenly made sense to me! I have always loved games, it would be fun to translate them, I thought. Game localization got me so hooked that I devoted myself to it full-time. Since 2018, I've been all about translating, proofreading, and occasionally even testing board games, card games, and - of course - video games. 

⚔️ I work with many clients, from smaller agencies to big players on the scene. I am experienced in localizing everything a game needs to succeed in the Czech market: User interface, dialogues, social media posts, you name it. Game localization is now my battlefield, words are my weapons, and I am ready for another fight, arrrgh! :C
