I am a state-certified translator and interpreter for the languages English and German. I initially trained at Munich's Specialized College of Foreign Languages, Translating and Interpreting, where I obtained a distinction-level degree for interpreting.

After the state exam, I went to the UK, where I have lived, worked and studied for six years. I successfully pursued higher degrees at the renowned School of Languages (now the Centre for Translation and Interpreting) at the University of Salford. Having completed my MA dissertation focused on applied Language Engineering (also distinction-level), I went on to obtain a doctorate in the area of Terminology Research and Specialized Language Studies in the field of philosophy. In addition to the official curriculum, I took the exam for the ECQA certificate for terminology management and presented at conferences for terminology and translation studies, which led to my publishing two research papers.

I primarily conduct specialized translations from English into my native language, in accordance with accepted quality standards. In order to expand the subject knowledge required for high-quality translation, I prefer assignments that fall within my subject specialties of business and economics, information technology and the humanities and social sciences. I also offer sworn translation for official documents, from German into English and from English into German.
