"How can that dog understand Spanish?" was one of my first thoughts upon arriving in Spain at the tender age of six; that question is at the root of my love for languages. I translate from French and Spanish into English (native) after living in France, Spain and Mexico, and I have four years of experience as a freelancer.
Since becoming a freelancer I have worked on numerous projects including websites, magazines, interviews and press releases. As a general translator I've worked for many different companies specialising in different areas: classical music, motorcycles, fisheries and jewellery are a few of the areas I've worked in. My main areas of expertise are art and music.
For the past two years I have also worked as a final stage proofreader. I mainly deal with medical and legal contracts as I have a very high attention to detail, although I have also worked on websites and books.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and a Master's Degree in Screen Translation from the University of Sheffield.
