Immersed from a very young age in both English and Spanish languages intertwined, I am fully bilingual in both oral and written language aspects.
Trained as a pharmacist at the University of Puerto Rico, I have always served as a bilingual resource for the community as well as at the workplace, on a professional and volunteer manner.
I have served as a freelance translator and editor for a major healthcare information company requiring translation and editing of drug information monographs from English to Spanish and have taught Spanish as a second language for English-speaking students for five years, while working and maintaining competency as a pharmacist in the USA. Presently, I have been serving as a translator for business documents and electronic correspondence for a USA charitable foundation.
I am equipped with strong research skills, specifically in the science and healthcare areas, and possess knowledge of idiomatic expressions and colloquialisms, as well as cultural subtleties, regarding the English and Spanish languages.
