Bio

Inaugural Translation Fellow for Fortunoff Archive, Yale University,
Oct. 2020-Sep. 2021. Fellowship devoted to translating volume 1 of Christoph
Dieckmann’s History of Lithuania under German occupation, 1941-1944. (Wallstein Publishers, 2012). Details here from the Fortunoff Archive on my fellowship.

"Henry Holland has worked as a scholarly and literary translator since
2010. In recent years he has focused on historical translation,
including work on the translation team and editorial board of the Complete Works of Rosa Luxemburg
(Verso Books) from 2014. He has also been commissioned for contemporary
political science translations by the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, and
other institutions around the globe. Henry also engages with translation
of literature and poetry. He has undertaken poetry translations for the
Barenboim-Said Academy, Berlin (co-translations from Arabic to
English), the Goethe Institute, and Literature Ireland, among other
organizations.Henry has a BA Honours in History and English from the University
of Birmingham, and lives with his family in Hamburg, Germany."
