I am a freelance Spanish to English and French to English translator based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and I would like to offer my services. I have many years of experience as a volunteer translator for the Edmonton Immigrant Services Association. After translating for the Association for some time, I was promoted to proofreader and am now proofreading other translators’ work.
After many successful years of teaching Spanish, French, and English, I launched my freelance translation business and have become an Associate Member of ATIA (Association of Translators and Interpreters of Alberta). I have a B.A. in Spanish from a Mexican university and an M.A. in French, as well as a B.A. in modern languages from a Canadian university. I have studied and worked in Mexico and Ecuador and studied and lived in Paris, France. I was born in a small town in eastern Ontario, where most people spoke French. So I have been hearing and speaking French all my life.
I have translated general as well as specialized documents in the areas of law and education. I especially like the challenge of translating documents that use difficult language. I have translated birth certificates, death certificates, marriage certificates, university transcripts, letters of recommendation, court orders, court settlements, and many other types of documents.
I have a Master’s degree in library and information science and, in light of my research skills, am able to easily adapt to other specialized subject fields.
With each freelance project I undertake, I guarantee high quality work delivered on or before deadline and prompt response to your phone calls and emails. I can provide references vouching for my translation abilities. Please let me know if I can supply you with any additional information. Visit my website: http://pathalltranslations.com |
