As time passed by I learned more and more about what a good translation means. I am proud to say that I look back on some of my first translations and they just don't sound that right anymore.
I am very dynamic and I adapt easily to most of the new fields I have to work in.
I have a good understanding of both French and British and American culture, essential in providing good translation and interpretation services
I believe the best way to learn a language is to read as much as possible; I am a keen reader in all the three languages I work in
Significant projects:
- auxiliary conference interpreter with the European Institutions since May 2009
- translation into French of two tourism guides for the county of Sibiu - «Guide pour les jeunes» and «Itinéraires touristiques»
- official translator of the acquis communautaire from French into Romanian - project based, one year
- official interpreter at several WWF seminars and conferences
- personal interpreter of Emma Nicholson during her one day visit in Sibiu
- partial translation of a book - Cartea de vizita a judetului Sibiu, the Global Media publishing house - from Romanian into French
- Translation of a World Bank study “Pension Reform and the Development of Pension systems” – about 190 pages from English into Romanian
