After completing my graduate studies in linguistics, civilization, and technical interpreting and translating, I started teaching at the University of Texas at Austin. I continued to work on interpreting and translating and later took a position as an IEEE conference manager. This step allowed me to further explore project management and technical communication. In the past two decades I have been working on XML documentation implementations and Localization management. I have led and contributed to several hardware and software documentation and localization projects for companies of all sizes and industry sectors. Currently, as Localization Program Manager and Principal Information Developer at HP, I am leading and implementing complex, remote, multi-team, and multi-cultural Localization projects and programs. |
