Bio
I have worked as a freelance translator for nearly 10 years. I translate from Japanese to English, but I also do a lot of editing of translations from English to Japanese.

I have an MA in Japanese with 1st-class Honours from Massey University (NZ), where I taught Japanese for 3 years.

I have taught Japanese-to-English translation for 5 years at Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology (retiring at end of 2009).

I am a National Council member of the New Zealand Society of Translators and Interpreters, and a co-editor of the Society's journal "Word for Word".
