Field of translation: patents and reports for industrial applications and materials in electronics/optics/chemical, metallurgical, ceramics, and plastics (polymers) engineering; academic publications in physical/chemical sciences and engineering.
Career Experiences: business development of advanced materials in electronics, optics, inorganic materials, etc during 14 year tenure with US subsidiary of a multinational Japanese corporation; R&D in catalysis for the US chemical and oil-refining industries; and basic research in materials science at the US research organizations. Education: PhD in Materials Science, MIT and BS, Tokyo Inst. Technology.
Experiences: Translation and interpretation (between English and Japanese) have been my occasional paid or unpaid work for over 40 years of professional life in the States. I currently register with several translation agencies in Japan.
