GEM Translations provides quality document translation and website localisation services from Edinburgh.

The company's Managing Partner, Lindsay McGee MA (Hons) has 8 years' experience as Project Manager in the translation industry both in London and Edinburgh.

GEMs main areas of specialisation are legal, technical and commercial.

Due to our location we have excellent contacts within the Celtic languages community and provide translations into and from Gaelic, Irish and Welsh in most fields as a speciality.

GEM works with qualified and experienced translators in all main business languages.

To ensure a consistently high standard of translation is output translators work into their mother tongue, must be qualified to degree level and have a post-graduate qualification in translation and/or a minimum of 3 years commercial translation experience.

Quality assurance procedures are as follows:
- The use of Purchase Orders on every job ensures client specifications are accurately conveyed to translators and are documented for future projects
- Feedback is actively sought and circulated back to translators to assist with ongoing professional development
- Translators are contracted to proof every piece of work before submission

Currently around 75% of GEMs clients are repeat customers.

Pricing starts from 90 GBP /1000 words, special agency to agency rates can be negotiated.
