Hi Proz, I wonder if it's possible to change an existing Trados TM source language from UK English to US English or vice versa? I think it would be great if it was possible to have just one generic English source language TM, so I could combine material from different English TMs, but now it seems that I cannot because some of the TMs were created in one or the other variant of English. Hi Sami, You can do that sort of thing with the freeware Olifant TM tool: http://www.translate.com/technology/tools/Olifant.html Export your TM in .tmx format and open it in Olifant. Change the language codes with the Common tab of the Files\Properties pane and then save the file. You'll have to create a new TM with the appropriate... I tried this but Trados does not seem to import the other English variant TMs but reports the TUs as invalid. What a nifty wee tool that Olifant is! It did the trick in two tics. And now I can make the most of my English TMs. Very helpful indeed!
