Trados2007 Tageditor + Office2010(Excel) fails

In combination of Trados2007 Tageditor and Office2010(Excel), Tageditor fails to create an excel ttx file and outputs the error message:

Connection with server application error: Specified cast is not valid Error code: 80005

Trados termbase explanation does not apply in this case: This error may occur when your Microsoft Excel document contains a text box or a drawing that is an OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) object.

Hello Toyama-san,

Trados 2007 may not work with Office 2010 because it is not "officially" supported. I may suggest you convert the format of the Excel file from 2010 into previous versions such as 2003-2007 as long as any objects embedded in the file would not be affected. Then, TagEditor would possibly work.

Thanks, I don't know the information.

By the way, the file is not excel2010 but excel2000-3? version.
And, even if a file is ecxel2000-3 and PC is under Office2002 and 2010 mixed environment, tageditor calls Office2010 for handling the excel file in vain.

Thanks, I don't know the information.

I'm not sure of your situation. Maybe you would better contact SDL Trados support to have their answer?
