hyttsill (herring eaten at the glass works)

This is an old tradition from the 19th century. In the evening, the workers met at the glass works, "glasshyttan", to eat herring, "sill", and potatoes.

I would recommend to keep the Swedish name and write an explanation i parenthesis.

agree Christine Andersen : They had to keep an eye on the annealing ovens, and in the winter it was probably the warmest place in town. Greetings from a glass fanatic!
