Discussion

Christopher Schröder Apr 12, 2016:
It's the interest on a "byggnadskreditiv" - a loan to fund the construction of the building, not sure if it has a special name in English beyond construction loan?
Helen Johnson Apr 12, 2016:
Sorry, don't know what the English term might be This is a definition I found so maybe someone with more knowledge than me can come up with the appropriate term in English:
Avskrivning och ränteberäkning sker från den dag då anläggningen tas i anspråk. Fram till denna dag beräknas internränta, som fastställs årligen, på medel som ianspråktas under byggtiden (kreditivränta).

I agree with Chris/tine S. - a construction loan.

Helen J's contact: very useful, but are we sure thatan anläggningen/ plant & equipment etc. is involved? When I once worked at a Swedish bank, the general from of a kreditiv was a letter of credit or an overdraft - and by no means a daft - facility.

PS my Anglo-Scottish school contemporary with a publishing hosue in Chiang Mai is fluent in Thai/Burmese <> British English, but not in Swedish.
