...en esta técnica se utilizan dos tipos de imágenes: las visuales - grabadas con una videocámara convencional -, y las infrarrojas - registradas con cámaras especiales para ese tipo de espectro-, "que además son tomadas desde distintos puntos de vista para aumentar la robustez frente a errores". La información visual recogida se digitaliza y procesa en un ordenador.
