Spanish term

vuelo

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Energy / Power Generation
From the specifications for the installation of a high voltage overhead line. Here, they're talking about the effects the line will have on properties along its path:

así como de las afecciones producidas, ubicación de apoyos y/o *vuelo* de conductores

I'm wondering if it could be "swing angle" or "clearance".

Thanks in advance!

clearance

Clearance is the distance from line to the ground, which is what I think interest you here, span the distance between the supports, and sag the highest and lowest points of the cable

Since a conductor is a flexible object with uniform weight per unit length, the geometric shape of a conductor strung on towers approximates that of a catenary. The sag of the conductor (vertical distance between the highest and lowest point of the curve) varies depending on the temperature. A minimum overhead clearance must be maintained for safety.

Powerline spans in flat areas with high pylons
At these spans the sag of the conductors is less than the height of the pylons

Suspension or hanging

Apoyos would be the posts that hold the lines. Conductores is another word for cables o lineas; so vuelo de conductores would be suspension or hanging of the cables. It is tyhe portion of cable that hangs in the air from post to post.

Daniel, Thank you so much! I really appreciate your explanation. I'm going to wait the requested 24 hours before accepting this answer, but it certainly seems to be the right one.
