: La pregunta no es "ahogada", es "torta ahogada". Imagina que en el menú, donde diga "torta ahogada", aparezca "smothered" y nada más.

: La polémica de siempre. ¿Pondríamos "Paté de hígado graso" por "Pâté de foie gras"? Dejar tal cual, quizá con alguna explicación entre paréntesis como en los restaurantes "chic". ¿Y dónde quedó en el título que se trata de un "sánduits"?

: No es buena traducción. La torta ahogada es algo muy específico: "Drowned sanwiches" podría ser cualquier cosa. Es un pan con carne al pastor "ahogada" en salsa muy picante, eso sí. Y no son "drowned", sino cubiertas abundandemente.

En realidad, se usa el nombre en castellano (como con los burritos). Lo que cabría, más que una traducción, es una explicación entre paréntesis.
