kosher overseer Explanation: The food produced in such a factory is non-kosher, unless a reliable mashgiach (kosher overseer) supervises the koshering of this equipment. - http://www.ok.org/v1/Content.asp?ID=116 |

Reference: Kashrut supervisor? Reference information: A Mashgiach (Hebrew: משגיח, pl. משגיחים, mashgichim, lit. "Supervisor") is a Jew who supervises the kashrut status of a kosher establishment. A mashgiach may supervise any type of food service establishment, including slaughterhouses, food manufacturers, hotels, caterers, nursing homes, restaurants, butchers, groceries, or cooperatives. The mashgiach usually works as the on-site supervisor and inspector, representing a kosher certification agency or a local rabbi, who actually makes the policy decisions for what is or is not acceptably kosher. Sometimes the certifying rabbi (Hebrew: רב המכשיר, rav hamachshir) acts as his own mashgiach; such is the case in many small communities. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mashgiach [...] https://www.google.pl/#q=Kashrut supervisor -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 14 min (2015-09-11 18:14:35 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- [...] Kashrut (also kashruth or kashrus, כַּשְׁרוּת) is the set of Jewish religious dietary laws. Food that may be consumed according to halakha (Jewish law) is termed kosher /ˈkoʊʃɜr/ in English, from the Ashkenazi pronunciation of the Hebrew term kashér (כָּשֵׁר), meaning "fit" (in this context, fit for consumption). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kashrut -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 15 min (2015-09-11 18:15:41 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- LUB właśnie Mashgiach - MASHGIACH |

Reference Reference information: Question: What’s the name of the rabbi who blesses the food in a kosher restaurant? –Jason, Seattle Answer: Actually, Jason, in Judaism we never bless food, even though sometimes that might be what it looks like we’re doing. Though we do say blessings before and after eating, we are actually blessing God for allowing us to experience good, sustaining food–not blessing the foodstuff itself. Okay, so now that we’ve got that covered, I have another bubble to burst for you–the rabbi at a kosher restaurant is not there to say any kind of blessing, and he’s not always a rabbi. He’s called a mashgiach, which means supervisor or overseer, and he’s present in the kitchen of a kosher establishment to ensure that everything that goes on there is, well, kosher. - http://www.myjewishlearning.com/article/ask-the-expert-whos-... |
