Hei!

I'm trying to find the equivalent UK-English term for this test. The patient had an operation for a knee injury and underwent the following as part of the medical examination:

"Normal finger-nese, kne-hæl, Romberg og linjegang".

So far, my own research has 'linear walking', but I'm not sure this quite 'cuts it' - any useful pointers?

Takk!
Alison.

tandem walking test
Explanation:
From the reference below: "Tandem gait is a gait (method of walking) with very small steps in a straight line so that, with each step, the heel of the foot that steps forward is placed immediately in front of, or just touching, the toes of the rear/supporting foot.
Neurologists may ask someone to walk as if they are on a tightrope to bring forth tandem gait.
Neurologists sometimes ask patients to walk in a straight line using tandem gait as a test to help diagnose ataxia... " It's also used by the police in the US to test if drivers are intoxicated with alcohol or drugs as is called a field sobriety test.
