Italian term

Variazioni permanenti in diminuzione

Italian to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) Financial statement items
Hi, this is an item heading in a financial statement. Can I use 'decrease' fo the diminuzione as in Permanent variations decreasing - or is there a more specific term?
Thanks in advance

My suspicion is that this is a write-down .. but in the absence of context, it is difficult to say. If I could see the name of the table, which part of the financial report it is in, the other adjacent items in the table, I would probably know with certainty. Please do your *best* to help us to help you. When I say "see", I need to see the orginal Italian.

Impairment / Permanent Impairment

Especially with regard to fixed assets or PPE.

Whilst "Permanent" need not always be specified, in the US, the GAAP includes a reference to "Permanent Impairment"
