It looks like contactor (Schuetz), as another reply said, rather than protection (Schutz) but it's hard to see why this is for switchoff only (Abschaltung) rather than both forward, reverse (Direkt- und Reversierbetrieb) and off switching.

a contactor (Schütz) is just a high-current relay, and in German it is quite common to 'reverse' the order of the words (relative to Engish)
In any case, for safety functions 'cutout' is more commonly used than 'cut-off'
