French term

à fournir en attente de réception

French Law/Patents Other
Hello,

This appears as a comment for some of the documents that need to be produced in a legal case.
I am translating this into English, but need help with the meaning, not the translation. Is there a comma missing perhaps "...fournir, en attente..."?

the position in the ST the fact that it's within [] and what's before - all that IS very useful context,
and it does confirm my first impression:

"these are the documents you have to produce, we are waiting for them"

or any other wording to that effect.

Il manque une virgule ou un /: À fournir / En attente de réception
Selon mon expérience, on parle de deux choses: ce qui doit être fourni + ce qui a déjà été demandé dont on a confirmé l'envoi (To provide / Awaiting receipt [?]) et non ce qui doit être fourni pendant qu'on attend autre chose (To provide pending receipt)

Thank you! just needed a couple of nods, I guess.
writeaway Apr 21, 2016:
Then just translate it as is It makes perfect sense as a note imo.
GRmed (asker) Apr 21, 2016:
Thank you, Daryo and writeaway. The phrase I gave is the whole sentence. It shows up btw [], directly under document titles. It seems to be an instruction to the legal team to provide the missing papers, so there is no useful context, I am afraid.
writeaway Apr 20, 2016:
What is the actual problem? If you know the translation, then the meaning should be clear too. Please provide more context if there is any.
Daryo Apr 20, 2016:
without seeing the whole source text I would understand it as:

"these are the documents you have to produce, we are waiting for them"

with or without comma;

BUT instead of you giving comments on the text, it would be far more helpful to have the text itself, at least the whole sentence // how to judge if a comma is missing without knowing the full sentence ????
