Hello,
"Le premier module d'acquisition/traitement comporte en outre, en sortir des premier et second filtres passe-bas, un moyen de calcul d'une première valeur dite de fluorescence caractéristique de l'amplitude du rayonnement de fluorescence, correspondant au module du premier signal numérique de fluorescence et ainsi au module de la somme du premier signal démodulé de fluorescence en phase SFSIN et du premier signal démodulé de fluorescence en quadrature de phase SFCOS.
(With "SIN" and "COS" in index position)
I'm hesitating with this;
...corresponding to the module of the first digital fluorescence signal SFN and thus to the module of the sum of the first in phase demodulated fluorescence signal SFSIN and the first phase quadrature demodulated fluorescence signal SFCOS.
are the positions of SFSIN and SFCOS correct here? or should they rather be, respectively after "phase" and "phase quadrature"?
Thank you

Yes, I'd say your positioning is OK here — if you expand the meaning, it would be "...the first in phase demodulated fluorescence signal referred to as SFSIN...".
You might want to consider putting it in ( ) just to make that clear, but I don't really think there's any way anyone would misread this.

I sympathize! Sometimes something that you didn't need to give a second thought to first time round suddenly leaps out at you, and you begin to doubt yourself, to a degree that seems in inverse proportion to the time-to-deadline ;-)

Note from asker:
phew thanks, I'm rereading my text and suddenly hesitating about everything |
:))))) yes that's what's happening right now |

A first demodulating means (34) for demodulating the first digital signal of fluorescence (SFN) by multiplying at least a digital demodulation signal (SINE COSINE) at the carrier frequency (fo), to generate at least a first demodulated signal of fluorescence (SFSIN, SFcos)

That's one to watch out for next time ;-)
