English term

put into

Non-PRO English Marketing Other
The X Group has been putting their efforts **on** areas such as product development and branding, and changing its range of products responding to feedback from customers and developing products to meet customer needs.

I saw "putting their efforts into" on the Internet, so I wonder if it is better to use "into" than "on".

Please advice!

Yes, putting their efforts into

Yes, "into" should be used with putting.
"Concentrating" would be "on".
Has been concentrating its efforts on.
Also, as X-Group is singular, I personally would say "its" instead of "their", though a lot of people do use the plural with a company.

Thank you. Yes, the sentence isn't consistent as it stands.

Thank you.
agree Björn Vrooman : Curious; AFAIK, the use of plural verbs with companies is mostly a British thing; you'll find that occasionally in AmE. If I interpret this correctly, it should be responding = in response to (or "based on"). The three -ing endings are somewhat confusing.
