Is this sentence okay? If not, could you pls explain what exactly author wants to say?

"Where concentrations [of the ore, or whatever it is that is being mined] are found at depth (that is, underground), mining is [performed] underground using shafts, inclined roadways and tunnels."


Purely logically (for me) I would choose to have the tunnels after the shafts, then the inclined roadways, but it may also remain as it is.

These mining methods will vary according to exactly HOW deep underground the ore is.

It's OK, though a comma after "depth" would improve it. Where concentrations (dense deposits) of X are found deep in the ground, underground (rather than open-cast/pit) mining is used to work them.
