English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) joint research agreement
I think *nor* in the text below should be replaced with "or". Would appreciate any suggestions by native speaker or English specialists.

Any Party may not, without the prior written consent of all of the other Parties, consign to any third party all *nor* portions of the work....

Yumico Tanaka (X) Feb 13, 2011:
Just like any language (Japanese too of course) there are more and more people who are ignorant of correct grammar use... I am no grammar specialist but these basics are often ignored because of some lazy people who did not listen to their teachers at school years ago, and then now there are teachers who don't teach grammars properly. Especially and sadly, in this country.
Joyce A Feb 11, 2011:
This should be changed to English to English... There's no Japanese in the question.

That phrase should read, "all or any portion of the work..."

There is also a problem with,"Any Party may not," This is incorrect English.

It should read, "No Party may,"
Peer comment(s):

agree Joyce A : Pointing out the "Any Party may not" incorrect wording is an added benefit here.
