English term

even with the opening

English Medical Biology (-tech,-chem,micro-) microbiology sampling
Break off the swab shaft even with the opening of the ACT1 tube.

Dear colleagues!

Can you please help me about this sentence.
I'm not quite sure what is the meaning of this sentence in the EN language.
Particularly the phrase brake off ... even with the opening.

Can you explain in more detail the meaning and if possible accompanied a reference

Instructions for sending a bacterial isolate to *** for Aerobe Isolate ID using ACT1:

When pure growth is confirmed, perform the following steps:
Prepare isolate for shipping:
Use the sterile swab provided in the Isolate visit kit to sweep across the agar surface, collecting a large clump of organism.
Place the inoculum-containing swab in an A.C.T transport tube provided in the Isolate visit kit, making sure the tip of the swab is below the surface of the medium.
Break off the swab shaft even with the opening of the ACT1 tube.
Firmly tighten the cap.
Write the patient number and the organism name on the label.

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Lirka May 3, 2015:
It just means break at the same level as the openi ng of the tube. na istom nivoju sa vrhom tube . "Even" is likely what's confusing you. It means "at the same level"
