Stripping/Volumetric stripping

English to Spanish Tech/Engineering Petroleum Eng/Sci Well Control
It is a procedure for well control in drilling. I couldn't find what this process consists of not the translation into Spanish. I found that it can be used in English but I would like to know what is the volumetric stripping and if there is a translation into Spanish. I found some resources but I don't know if they are reliable. I include them below.

Admito que los resultados no son muy numerosos, pero viendo que stripping se suele usar como tal, lo más lógico es que volumetric stripping = stripping volumétrico (no veo otra forma de traducirlo).

It's a table of contents. That's why I don't have so much context. I thought that someone in the field could know what it means. It seems to be a very common process in well control.
