In addition to the mediation styled messaging areas, Smartsettle One+ includes, on the same screen, a bidding tool that uses Artificial Intelligence to significantly speed up the time it will take for parties to come to a fair agreement over the amount of a payment to be made. Each party can at any time move a slider tab along a range of numbers to display an amount he is prepared to settle at.

There are two tabs one green and one yellow. The position of the green tab (whether as an offer to pay or to receive in settlement) is seen by the other party on his screen. However, the position of the yellow tab is not disclosed to the other party. The purpose of the yellow tab is to inform the machine of the figure he is prepare to settle at as a ‘bottom line’ but, for the purposes of his negotiating strategy, he does not want to declare at that stage. Those figures (green and yellow) can be moved up or down at any time.
