Din definitiile pe care le-am gasit rezulta ca " stationary engineer" mai este cunoscut si sub denumirea de " operating engineer" si se ocupa de instalarea, punerea in functiune, operarea si intretinerea echipamentelor, utilajelor si masinilor stationare.
Avand in vedere cele de mai sus, cred ca "tehnician de intretinere" nu acopera tot spectrul de activitati pe care le desfasoara "stationary engineer".
In acest sens, va propun varianta de "tehnician operator" (de echipamente, utilaje si masini stationare).
