I would say totsaot does not perfectly fit the bill here. Webster refers to sequela / sequelae as "an aftereffect of disease or injury" and "a secondary result : CONSEQUENCE". A more acurate Hebrew translation would therefore be tguvat levay ro totsaat levay or even hashlakha. In my opinion Totsaah is just too general here.

disagree  Eynati: Sorry to disagree. Tguvot/totzaot-lvay implies SIDE-effect. These aren't 'side' effects: they are the direct consequence (& consequence is tr' as totza'a: cf. nezek totza'ati for conseq' damage). Hashlakhot=repercussions, & I don't think this applies here
