English term
short-circuit ratings

Context : 'Pow-R-Way III busway significantly reduces installation time, and its compact size saves valuable space. It also has the highest short circuit ratings in the industry and there is no cutting or waste at the jobsite.
Mon essai:
Merci d'avance

Note from asker:
Merci beaucoup FX Fraipont.

Note from asker:
Merci beaucoup Martine.

intensité nominale / courant nominal en court-circuit
... and I would tend to say 'élevé' rather than 'haut'
Strcitly speaking, it is 'capacité en courant', but I don't think it is usually expressed that way... does get loads more Ghits, though, (albeit without 'nominal') so may be worth investigating...

Ghits = Google hits = résultats de recherche Google
But it's nothing (directly) to do with the ability to withstand short-circuits; it means how much maximum excess current it can handle in the event of a short-circuit elsewhere — i.e. in the event of some catastrophic failure, will the busbar survive long enough to allow the fuse or other protective device to act?
The difference is subtle, but technically important, I think!

Note from asker:
Merci Tony M!!! |
