Soudní exekutor
čeština -> angličtina
Is there a generally accepted English translation of "soudní exekutor"?
Court executor?
Are there other possibilities?
"executive court officer", "judicial executive officer" - perhaps these have specific meanings in the US?
If "exekuce" is what the "soudní exekutor" does, in what sense should we take this? "Seizure, distraint, attachment" or, more generally, "execution, carrying out"?

See ref. Admittedly it's for Hungary, but it gives the general idea!
As for what he does, I think it's "enforcement" of court judgements.

: only 228 hits on Google is nothing to write home about. In US it is local sheriff who does this function.

: distraint is seizure of property, which may be part of enforcement, but is much narrower
