因为主人太岁在子在午, 子向灾煞豹尾丧门,午向乃*大将车白虎之门*,有五鬼大煞, 所以须要把床搬为辰戌正向。

This appears in a novel that takes place in 1920s Shanghai. At this point in the story, a character has asked a fengshui expert to advise him on how to position a bed in his home. I know 白虎 is one of the many gods in Chinese astrology, but I can't make sense of the phrase.
