Chinese term

企业通讯录

Chinese to English Tech/Engineering Computers: Hardware
Hello,

could you help me with this term: 企业通讯录?

I don't have much context, just this sentence:

通信提供了电话、传真、多媒体会议、即时通信、状态呈现、企业通讯录、统一消息等众多应用服务,为员工提供了一种更个性化、更及时的通信方法。

The problem is that 企业通讯录 has many meanings. Could it be a "Enterprise Directory"? But I don't really means what it means.

Thank you

I believe your "enterprise directory" is correct, based on an image search.

Selected

enterprise (internal)communication directory

It is a directory provided internally (need to log in first) for all members to find the groups and individuals with contact info, functions and many times, organizational hierarchies etc.

internal contact list

Presuming this is for internal use, the employees can find their colleauges' contact info (mobile, email, etc.)on "Iternal Contact List" .

internal directory

A more literal translation of 企业通讯录 could be 'business directory' (although probably not 'enterprise directory'), but in my opinion that means a public phone book full of telephone numbers of lots of businesses.

The description appears to be of a device which has lots of functions, including access to an internal directory, which is what the text is referring to. Despite the lack of 内部 in the source text I would suggest 'internal directory' is the more accurate English translation.

Just saw that this question is still open and thought I'd add that 'company address book' would also be fine. 'Corporate address book' is a bit vague imo.

Some sort of corporate communications system

It appears that the source text is referring to some sort of corporate communications system. Could your phrase simply be referring to an address book where contact information is stored?

Perhaps "corporate address book" would suffice?
