s. below Explanation: "pw" first: you may find it in http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Echokardiografie and stands for "pulse wave" - gepulst - IMO. For ET: cm/s is the dimension of velocity, and in echocardiography they measure, among other parameters, the velocity of myocardial velocities (Wandbewegungsgeschwindigkeiten). They have categories "S": systole, "E": early diastole, "A": late diastole.
