Endoscope is the general medical term used for devices introduced into the body through various orifices (such as the mouth, nose, rectum,etc. for dignosis, taking biopsies and/or surgery). There are several other terms specific to various types of edoscopes, such as the gastroscope (for the stomach), coloscope (for the colon), etc.

Since the Asker has indicated in her question that such term is in the context of a medical invoice, then I think it refers to the word that should be translated as \"endoscope\", since its use entails significant cost to appear in an invoice. On the other hand, the use of a \"speculum\" is a part of routine examination that does not warrant invoicing as an item separate from the usual doctor\'s visit fee.
