Antwort : Das französische Bett -und dafür ist es bei den Deutschen ja auch so "berühmt- berüchtigt" - kennt diese fatale Zweiteilung des Ehebettes nicht. Auf der Besucherritze schlafen - ist eben Synonym, wie du richtig sagst, für eine äusserst unbequeme Nacht. Wenn der Kontext es erlaubt, i.ds Sinne umschreiben.
