I thought this was a typo at first, but I'm not so sure.

Text is Austrian speak and elsewhere "Einlangen" means arrival, apparently.

The context:
Erfolgt die elektronische Verständigung per SMS, so können die Inhalte abgekürzt werden, um mit einer SMS das Auslangen zu finden

agree  Klaus Herrmann: w/ make do with. Mit *einer* SMS is the important bit IMHO - When using SMS, you might as well use abbreviations so one SMS message will suffice.
