French term

bas collé

French to English Medical Medical (general) surgery - support device?
This is a surgical report. After a hernia repair: "Mise en place d'un bas collé à garder impérativement 15 jours et à relayer par une gaine de contention abdominale" I can’t even find this in the French.

I think that the author is talking about a "pressure pad" (pansement de contention) that will be followed by a belt or girdle for support and insure a nice healing.
I never heard about this "bas colle".

Yep, at first I even thought about the mesh system but it's used inside the wound so that cannot be. The only other choice is some kind of dressing/pad. Let' see if somebody else has a better idea.

The term(s) certainly exist(s), and would fit the context, even if "collé(e)" is redundant, but the acronym does not appear to be used.
