Japanese term

動力が大きい

Non-PRO Japanese to English Other General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
The context is スラブに冷風を吹き付けて蓄熱する為、蓄熱に蓄源冷水ポンプとファンを運転する必要が有り動力が大きいシステムでは、蓄熱の為に大きなエネルギーを消費してしまう。I want to say a system with high energy consumption but that can't be right since the システムが大きなエネルギーを消費する、 which is energy consumption.
Thank you for any suggestions.

great amounts of energy

I think you have chosen the wrong category for this question. :-)
Anyway, it is a system that requires large amounts of power or energy.

English gist (this is not a translation): For a system requiring large amounts of energy such as this one which must use water pumps and fans to pass cold air over the slab to store heat, great amounts of energy are consumed to store the heat.

The idea is that this type of machinery or engineering design requires a lot of energy(power) to function.
