   "shuttle" -
Vladimir Pochinov Aug 9, 2004:
What I mean it is between two points, eg. A and F, with intermediate stops at B, C, D, and E.
Non-ProZ.com Aug 9, 2004:
Vladimir But this is not between two points!
Vladimir Pochinov Aug 9, 2004:
It is exactly what shuttle service means (running along a route between two points).
Non-ProZ.com Aug 9, 2004:
But this is not exactly a shuttle service (to and from a location) but rather a van running along the same route as a corresponding trolleybus service.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "I am sure shuttle service doesn't work here since маршрутное такси is a regular minivan service serving a large area rather than two locations like an airport and the city centre. Inna was the first to suggest a suitable translation, but thanks also to Melany for confirming my suspicions re shuttle :-) And thanks to everybody who contributed."

Route Taxi (minivan)

Here our collegues have translated it as route taxi (minivan)

Coz shuttle is a short-run conveyance, sometimes provided free of charge, operating on a frequent schedule, usually between two points, such as a hotel and the airport, the airport and a car rental agency, and so forth.

Minibus

When I lived in the countries of the Former Soviet Union and even when I was visiting Russia, "marshrutkas" were always called minibuses among expatriates.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Vladimir Dubisskiy : the question was actually not about the type of the vehicle running (minibus or minivan or van) but rather the way it operates
