Ce n’est pas péjoratif mais, cette édition 2004 du meeting Gaz de France
Paris Saint-Denis sera un véritable arrière-goût des Mondiaux. A l’heure
actuelle nous avons 60 000 spectateurs d’assuré et nous espérons bien
arriver à 65 000 c’est à dire, battre, sans aucun problème un record du
monde qui est celui de Berlin avec 62 100 spectateurs pour un meeting. Nous
sommes, à peu près, dans les chiffres des Mondiaux. Nous avons, presque,
tous ceux qui ont brillé lors des Championnats du monde. Ce sera à la fois
un arrière goût des Mondiaux et avant goût des finales des Jeux Olympiques.
Do I keep the image (ie. Aftertaste/foretaste)? Or go for something like reminder/preview? Avant-goût just seems so much more frequent than foretaste, but then I lose the effect if I change it to reminder/preview.

foretaste is fine for avant-goût but aftertaste has negative connotations (a nasty taste in the mouth!)IMHO
