Explanation:
斅块堏动 is an expression used in Taiwan, quite new. It is a simile to seismic movements. Continental plates or massive rocks/blocks glide in the direction and with the speed according to the pressure they are bearing.
Viewing a population group as a demographical block, you can imagine the seismic movements of the population.
There are a lot of reasons why demographic blocks move and it has surely socio-political and economical complications, such as demands for food, clothes, water supply, etc.
