\"European Broadcasting Union
Broadcasting of sports events
Another continuing debate, accompanied by case law, concerns the collective selling of television broadcasting rights, i.e. the circumstances under which sports federations are allowed, under national and EC competition rules, to market broadcasting rights to the events which fall within their responsibility, on a centralized basis (see the article on Sports broadcasting rights and EC competition law by Werner Rumphorst). The EC Commission is reviewing several cases in which sports federations \"pool\" their rights and sell them collectively (see the key file on \"Sport and competition rules\" of the European Union\'s Directorate-General for Education and Culture). \"
