Reverse convertible / omgekeerde converteerbare obligatie Explanation: Bij een reverse convertible, oftewel een omgekeerde converteerbare obligatie, kiest de uitgevende instelling (de emittent) voor terugbetaling in geld of in aandelen. De uitgevende instelling is vaak een bank of financiële instelling. Dit in tegenstelling tot een convertible, waarbij juist de belegger kiest hoe de lening afgelost moet worden. Bij dit soort obligatie gebruikt de emittent bestaande aandelen. Met hoge rente lokken ze de argeloze cliënt, die op de optiebeurs vaak met dezelfde risico’s dubbele hoeveelheid winst zou kunnen generen op een soortgelijke belegging. Het feit dat dit een kant-en-klaarpakketje is, is het enige leuke. Heel simpel werd daar geformuleerd wat beide soorten opties zijn: bono canjeable ( bono convertible) Principales tipos de bonos: - Bono canjeable: Bono que puede ser canjeado por acciones ya existentes. - Bono Convertible: Concede a su poseedor la opción de canjearlo por acciones de nueva emisión a un precio prefijado. Ook Selfbank geeft een soortgelijke definitie: Uno de los productos financieros de renta fija que es utilizado con frecuencia por las empresas para su financiación son los denominados bonos convertibles. Lo que busca la empresa a la hora de emitir estos bonos convertibles es captar financiación ajena para posteriormente transformarla en financiación propia, es decir, en recursos propios de la empresa, mediante un proceso de conversión de la deuda en acciones. Este procedimiento de canje se puede realizar de dos formas diferentes, bien a través de la emisión de acciones nuevas (ampliación de capital), o bien mediante el canje de acciones viejas (reducción de la autocartera de la empresa).
