Ministério da Saúde Explanation: MS - I believe it is “Ministério da Saúde”, as you mentioned. A reference to the registry number provided by the institution for every drug. This code proves the drug is regulated and is displayed on the packaging, immediately following the abbreviation 'MS,' and it consists of thirteen digits, always starting with the digit '1.' https://www.pmf.sc.gov.br/entidades/vigsanitaria/index.php?c... https://www.gov.br/anvisa/pt-br/acessoainformacao/perguntasf... https://consultaremedios.com.br/dicionario-de-termos PV - I couldn't find anything online, I consulted a friend who works in the industry, and she believes it is “Prazo de Validade” (expiration date), but I can't confirm it. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 dia 9 horas (2024-01-23 01:34:13 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- PV - can be "Proibida a Venda" (Not for sale/Forbidden to Sell" since these drugs are related to distribution through the Brazilian health system and should not be for sale in any way. |

Ministério da Saúde Explanation: As you mention, as the product is a antiretroviral drug the translation of MS would be "Ministério da Saúde". In Brazil, the government has a Health Program for HIV drugs, which is given for free for the patients. The leaflet and the package must have the information that the product must not be sold and that it makes part of the goverment project. PV in this case means "Ponto de Venda", which can be translated as "retail", when the patients buy their own treatment. The text you sent us here is informing drug presentations available both for retail and for free, by the government. See below the products that make part of this government project.
